Download the inFM manufacturer CSV template and bulk-upload your equipment makes, models, and categories in one step — no manual data entry required.
The Equipment Catalogue in inFM is a domain-scoped library of manufacturer and model definitions. It lets your team build a shared reference of equipment makes, models, categories, and expected working lives — so asset records are consistent and searchable across your organisation.
Rather than adding equipment definitions one by one, you can bulk-import them using a CSV file. Download the template below, fill in your equipment data, and upload it directly in the inFM Equipment Catalogue section.
A ready-to-use CSV template with the correct column headers and two sample rows. Replace the sample data with your own manufacturer and model definitions.
⬇ Download TemplateTip: The template can be opened and edited in Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc, or any spreadsheet application. Save as CSV (comma-separated values) before uploading to inFM.
The import file must be a UTF-8 encoded CSV with the following column headers on the first row. Column order does not matter as long as the headers match exactly.

Note on duplicates: If a matching
manufacturer + model_name combination
already exists in your catalogue, inFM will update the existing
record with the new values from the CSV rather than creating a
duplicate.
Follow these steps to bulk-import manufacturer and model definitions into the inFM Equipment Catalogue.
Download the CSV template from this page using the button above. Open it in your spreadsheet application of choice.
Replace the sample rows with your actual manufacturer and model data. The manufacturer and model_name columns are required; the others are optional but recommended.
Save the file in CSV (comma-separated values) format with UTF-8 encoding. In Excel: File → Save As → CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited).
Log in to your inFM instance. Navigate to Catalogues → Equipment Catalogue.
Click the Official Data button in the toolbar, then select Upload Manufacturer CSV. Choose your prepared CSV file and confirm the import.
After uploading, inFM will display a summary showing how many records were created, updated, skipped, or had errors. Any validation errors are listed so you can correct them before re-uploading.
Admin access required: Uploading to the Equipment Catalogue requires an admin or domain-admin role in inFM. Contact your inFM administrator if you need access.
